<p>The measuring gauges for these processes must have a total accuracy of some nanometers. This precision has already been reached in the metrology laboratory with temperature stability, but it is unusual to be applied to machine tools on the shop floor. A use of this special gauge is the grinding process of components for the diesel engine injection and hydraulic spools where matching tolerances are often of few microns</p>
